Speak at EQ Connects 2021

Our increasingly complex and uncertain world is demanding increased capability, not just in skills and knowledge, but in how to navigate change and stress in relationships.  Developing emotional intelligence in leadership and teams can dramatically improve well-being and performance, increase productivity and drive success.

EQ Connects is an opportunity for you to connect directly with business leaders and coaches in the UK – to share ideas, fresh thinking, experiences and research about emotional intelligence and to explore the tangible benefits of developing EQ.

Do you have a remarkable story to tell? Do you have a passion for sharing knowledge with others? Do you like to help others solve their business challenges? Do you love to share stories around customer success, best practices, a-ha! moments, and how-tos? If you answered yes to any — or all — of these questions, then we want to hear from you.

Why speak at EQ Connects?

If you’re selected to present, you will receive a complimentary full conference pass for yourself and a colleague to join EQ Connects 21 in Birmingham.

You will have the opportunity to either speak on stage at the event or to facilitate one of the interactive workshops.  We will work with you in the lead up to the event to build your story and convey your messaging - ensuring you get maximum impact, exposure and interaction with the attending guests.

We want great, professional and confident speakers with a compelling story to tell. Speaking at EQ Connects is a fantastic experience and, the quality of speakers is extremely high.

How to submit a speaker submission:

Nominate yourself or nominate a colleague who will add to the conversation at EQ Connects in Birmingham.

And, in case you want tips for crafting a speaker submission:

  1. Outline your story’s talking points (e.g., list and rank your top messages)

  2. Success metrics are a big plus; include them if you are able to

  3. Explain why attendees would want to give you their time

  4. Identify what problems you have solved

  5. Differentiate yourself from others – how will your delivery differ from others?  How will your session stay in peoples minds following the event?

Before you press send on your submission, remember to:

  1. Be as precise and descriptive as possible. The more direct you are, the easier it will be for our team to understand the major points of your story.

  1. Outline previous speaking experience. If possible, include links to videos.

  1. Brush up on your presentation skills (even if you’re a seasoned speaker).

Please send your submission to Lyndsey Morrison by Friday, March 27 at 5:00 PM. Speakers will be notified throughout April.

Thanks for taking the time to put together a speaker submission. We look forward to seeing you at EQ Connects.
